Decarbing 101
Decarbing 101
Time: 1 hour
Decarbing, or the process of decarboxylation, is the first step to any successful edible. Without this critical step, the most desirable cannabinoids like THC and CBD, do not exist. In most flower, the predominant cannabinoids are THCa and CBDa, the chemical precursors to the ones we know and love. Exposure to heat, over time, transforms THCa and CBDa into THC and CBD. If you want potent medibles, you’ll need to decarb.
