“Nuts and Buds” is a clever riff off of the deliciously salty snack, Nuts and Bolts. Crunchy cereal combined with a perfect mix of spices, and you’ll find yourself reaching for handful after handful. Thankfully, this makes a massive batch that will make it through at least a few sessions. We highly recommend preparing a big bowl of Nuts and Buds before you stay-at-home movie night
For anyone with a lower-tolerance to edibles and THC-rich goodies, keep in mind this recipe is packed with a significant amount of Cannabutter. Need something a bit more chill? Replace more of the Cannabutter with regular butter.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of butter (plain, melted)
- 1 cup Cannabutter (melted)
- 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tbsp onion powder
- ½ tsp dill
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 8 cups of Crispix cereal
- 4 cups of Chex cereal
- 4 cups Cheerios cereal
- 4 cups of pretzel sticks
- 1 box cheese stick crackers
Equipment
- Large Roasting Pan
- Medium bowl
- Wooden spoon
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 250°F.
- Combine butter, Cannabutter, and all spices in a small bowl. Mix until thoroughly combined.
- In a large roasting pan, combine all cereals. Toss to combine. You may need to do this in batches.
- Pour melted butter and spice mixture over the cereal.
- Using a wooden spoon, gently stir until all cereal is coated in butter and spice mixture.
- Bake for 60 to 90 minutes, tossing every 30 minutes.
- When the cereal absorbs the butter and appears dry, remove from the oven.
- Enjoy immediately, or store in Ziploc bags for up to 10 days.
