Another easy infusion swaps coconut oil for butter. Coconut oil is a vegan-friendly, healthy fat. But, just like butter, it slides seamlessly into a curry or delicious baked good.
If you have already mastered the Cannabutter or the Cannabis-Infused Olive Oil, whipping up a batch of healthy infused Coconut oil requires little additional effort. Plus, coconut oil is extremely stable. It can last for months in your cupboard, or even longer if stored in the refrigerator. Infused Coconut Oil is a go-to pantry staple in the cannabis-friendly kitchen.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups of organic coconut oil
- 14 grams (½ oz) roughly ground, decarbed flower
Equipment
- Heavy saucepan
- Wooden spoon
- Cheesecloth
- Mason jar
Directions
- Add coconut oil in a heavy saucepan, place over low heat.
- Add all the decarbed flower to the saucepan, stir to combine.
- Simmer gently for three hours, watching closely to ensure it doesn't burn. Stir every 30 minutes.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Using the cheesecloth, strain the coconut oil into a mason jar. Dispose of the leftover flower.
- Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- Cannabis-Infused Coconut Oil will keep for months in the refrigerator.
