Cornbread is a staple at summer barbeques and a must-have side for a big bowl of chili. If you have a potluck coming up and aren’t sure what to bring, this Cannabis Cornbread is easy to whip up. Even if you’ve never baked before!
If you are feeling fancy mix in your favorite additions, like canned corn, jalapenos, or sprinkle cheese on top. Trust us, this is the best cannabis cornbread, and you’ll have guests coming back for seconds.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup Cannabutter (melted, and cooled slightly)
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 egg (room temperature)
- 1 cup buttermilk (room temperature)
Equipment
- 9 x 9 Baking Pan
- Whisk
- 2 Mixing Bowls
- Parchment paper
- Non-Stick Spray
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Spray baking pan with non-stick spray. Line with parchment paper.
- Combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt (dry ingredients) into one bowl. Whisk until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining wet ingredients. Whisk until well combined.
- Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, stir gently until combined. Do not over mix.
- Pour into a lined baking pan.
- Bake for 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cut into individual servings, enjoy.
